This is a 4 day hunt with 100% success in the past. This hunt can show mule deer along with whitetail because of the size of the property you will be hunting, 10,000 acres. On private ground fully guided no meals or lodging but a recommended motel and you will be picked up at the front door of the motel. The land is 10,000 acres, 100% private with tree stands, CRP, corn, creek bottoms. Big Mule Deer on a DIY Hunt Wouldn’t you like to shoot a big buck in southwest Nebraska? I have both Whitetail and Muley. I have 700 acres of private land and 1500 acres of public land surrounding my hunting house where you will stay. It is only 20 miles from McCook, which has a super Wal-Mart in case you forget something. You have found one of the hidden Mule Deer, (plus there are some big whitetail bucks to shoot if you would rather that than a muley) treasures of SW Nebraska. Our hunts include home cooked supper, guide during your entire hunt that will place you in stands and pick the best possible spots based on the wind and thermals. We have basic breakfast items at camp but you will need to bring in your own lunch supplies and drinks. This hunt is for the experience trophy hunter that will only take a 140 plus buck and can estimate them on the hoof. This hunt is not for everyone. Although NW Oklahoma is known for its great Quail Hunting, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better deal than our Whitetail Deer hunting. Oklahoma has a short rifle season (16 days) and a one week muzzleloader season which puts very little pressure on our Deer. We harvest a lot of Bucks in the 130 – 140 class range, but we’ll also shoot some in the 150 – 170 class. These are big Whitetail Deer, weighing in between 175 – 225 lbs. Our hunts are semi-guided, meaning we’ll show you an area and then let you setup and hunt your own spot. Each person will usually have around 200 acres to work with.
