We operate in the Rio Grande National Forest under a permit issued by the USDA Forest Service.
We furnish a complete package hunt for a limited number of hunters who will receive a comfortable remote camp, gentle horses, experienced friendly guide service and above all plenty of good food.
Because of the different units we hunt and some need points or a landowner voucher to draw we are very familiar with the drawing and landowner voucher system.
For example in GMU0 76, we access the public ground via a private property which allows us prime hunting because the animal are not bothered by public land hunters. Then as the season gets underway we get inundated with animals being pushed to us by the public hunting pressure on the other end of the national forest.
We hunt GMU082, an over the counter elk unit in 2nd & 3rd season. We are nestled in the Sangre de Cristo’s rough terrain, classified as a wilderness area.

Elk Hunts
We offer trophy elk hunts on two of our ranches, in which only 6 X 6 - 300 inch plus
and better bulls will be taken. This hunt takes place in game units where 330+
bulls are taken regularly. Our most popular season is usually the early rifle
season. The bulls are typically still bugling some and the weather is not quite as
much of a factor.
Mule Deer:
We offer trophy deer hunts on the eastern plains for rifle, archery and muzzleloader
hunters. We hunt units 105,128, 130 and 136. All of these areas have historically
proven to be among the best in Colorado for producing trophy mule deer and
whitetail deer. The eastern plains hunts are our most popular and subsequently
book up well in advance. We also offer trophy deer hunts on our mountain
ranches. All of our deer hunts are accessed by four wheel drive truck, with hunting
done on foot utilizing spot and stalk.
Antelope: We offer great rifle antelope hunting on the eastern plains. We hunt units
105,106,128, 133 and 130. All of these areas have historically proven to be among
the best in Colorado for producing quality antelope. The eastern plains hunts are
our most popular and subsequently book up well in advance. All of our antelope

This hunt usually requires 1 year advance reservations to get this coveted hunt. You can put in and draw but it is at 22 points and with point creep I am certain it will be over 35 years before you draw.
This hunt includes the voucher required to buy the license over the counter. It is for area 10 and the bulls are huge, and not far between them. This area has been managed as a trophy area for many years and the size of the bulls and the number of bulls available does show that history. There are many 6x6 and 7x7 bulls that have never been shot at and missed; they just don’t get shot at very often due to the minimal number of bull licenses issue for GMU 010 each year.

Muzzleloader hunts in this area are conducted for elk and mule deer by calling and stalking and ground blinds. Muzzleloader elk tags are obtained by the statewide drawing for bull elk. This tag will take at least 3 points to draw.
Trophy Elk and Mule Deer Hunts:
We offer trophy bull elk hunting in GMU 1, 2, 10, 201. These areas tags are hard to draw. Elk takes 18+ points and mule deer takes 12 or more. In these areas expect to see bulls 300 up to 390 class B/C bulls. We also offer trophy mule deer hunts in hunts in these units. In the past 160 plus bucks to be seen on this hunt and could be yours for the taking.
