Fully Guided Trophy class elk and deer in most Western States throughout the Rocky and Cascade Mountains. This eventually led him to Southwest New Mexico and Arizona, home to some of the largest North American big game animals in the world. With the bulls here being well above average in size this guide has been hunting these areas for over 14 years focusing on world class public land hunting. We are permitted in the Gila and Cibola National forests in New Mexico and statewide in Arizona. If you are looking for a trophy of a lifetime then apply to these states.
The units that we hunt in New Mexico and Arizona consistently produce bulls in the 300"- 350" class with opportunity on bigger bulls in all units for hunters that will work for it. Each year during the archery season we will see and chase bulls in the 370"- 390" class and occasionally the 400"+ bull. Rifle tags are the hardest tags to draw, but they also produce some exceptional opportunities on monster animals. New Mexico hunters have the option of purchasing a guaranteed land owner tag sold on a first come first serve basis. The tags are quite expensive but you are guaranteed to hunt without waiting to draw a tag.

Colorado Whitetail and Mule Deer Hunts Our guided Colorado deer hunts are done along the Arkansas River near Lamar, Colorado. Our property has high populations of whitetails, it's normal to see 15 to 25 deer a day. Bucks are generally in the 120-150 range with bigger ones around. We took a 158" typical Whitetail here in 2009 but in Lamar that's about as big as they get. These You can draw the license most years without a preference point. This hunt is in Game unit 127 but book before applying for any license as there are special hunt codes available. We also have Guided Mule Deer hunts available now in game unit 127 as well. There was a Mule Deer taken that came in just under 200" in 2010 on this ranch. We also have an unguided, trespass fee property that we allow 4 hunters on per season for a reasonable price per hunter. This hunt will allow you to use 2 to 3 exclusive stands for 7 to 9 days, if you're not seeing any Deer we'll move you to a new location. This property is also located in game management unit 127/132. Spring Snow Goose hunts can be very exciting as we're allowed to unplug our shotguns, use electronic calls and hunt after sundown. The hunts are done over decoys and the birds can be from 15 to 45 yards out in small flocks to several hundred or even thousands at a time.Weekends and Holidays $185 per gun per day, 3 gun minimum. **Something for Everyone Just Choose your Weapon**** This outfitter is flexible with a wide array of animals and comfortable in guiding archers, muzzleloaders and rifle hunter early and late seasons. Hunts with vouchers included for free in some of these difficult to draw areas are great. Vouchers are for GMU750, GMU079, GMU791, GMU080 and GMU081. All hunts are on private land and private ranches. He focuses on small hunting parties of 2-4 so that he can be certain the time is pleasurable and the tags get filled. Most hunting is from trucks or ATV’s depending on what private property you are hunting and what you are after. With all hunts it is good to have you rifle, muzzleloader or bow shooting where you think it is so sighting in is available as long as you advise his in advance so he can make time in your schedule. With cow elk starting at $995 going up to a big buck hunt at $ 3,500 he has a hunt that is minimal physicial exeretion which is great I we age and our legs get shorter and our head gets bigger. For Yourth hunters we have doe antelope and doe deer vouchers free with a youth hunt on a guided hunt for only $495 fot a 1/2 day hunt. If the hunt goes until after 1200 noon it is an additional $200 although seldom does it last past 9am.

Good DIY property is difficult to find, usually it means over crowed public land or the poorest private land hunting on the ranch. Well this outfitter is different. This is a great**DIY ** on Our Ranch (640 acres) is located 7 miles southeast of Meeker, Colorado, (area 23), in the foothills below White River National Forest. This is a great ** DIY ** HUNT area for the self guided hunter, leave the meals and lodging to us. This Outfitter is a native of Colorado, licensed, bonded and insured, and have been outfitting for over twenty years. Under Colorado law, outfitters cannot guarantee kills to clients, nor would we if we could. But what we can do is offer fair chase hunting in prime big game areas with low hunter pressures. On my hunts, you will see and do things very few people are privileged to enjoy.... that is, hunting private ground without the pressure of public hunters. The reason is we have 30,000 acres and only allow 6-8 hunters on the land per season. If you don’t want to see each other you won’t. Our horses are mountain-trained. They are even-tempered and sure-footed so any beginner can ride and enjoy it. Water is very limited and even more so in the earlier seasons when deer and elk don’t have access to snow for moisture. Since this is a working cattle ranch we have stock ponds in specific areas of the ranch which the cattle and the wild game must use for water. I can't control the weather or Lady Luck but I will be totally prepared for your hunt with good food, cooks, guides, horses and jeeps. We'll hunt from daylight to dark to help you secure your animal. A hunter's checklist, license applications, shipping/transportation instructions, and maps of the area will be sent to you by June. Colorado's deer/elk rifle seasons are currently set up into four different seasons running from mid-October to mid November. Our past record speaks for itself. We encourage potential clients to talk with our previous clients. That's your best guarantee. We sincerely care about your hunt and want you to be totally satisfied with us. My private ground hunt areas for deer and elk are GMU’s 21,22,31, and 10. These areas near Rifle, Colorado are known locally as the Piceance Basin. At one time this was the largest single deer migration point in the world. It is still the winter home of thousands upon thousands or deer and elk. This area large area is surrounded by 1000 foot cliffs that are covered with cedar, oak brush, aspen and some scattered pine. The "camp" is a 2800 square foot log lodge, with a modern kitchen, large bathroom, great room with wood stove and a sleeping cabin that will accommodate 20 people. We normally only hunt 6-8 people at a time, but will take larger groups if they are in one party. We try to keep our groups small to facilitate better service. The area is composed of many ridges, bluffs and canyons that are accessible by jeep, ATV, or horseback. Cedar, pinion pine and oak brush are the main cover. The head of the canyons have spruce and aspen trees that provide great bedding areas. Live water is not readily available here but that works to our advantage as it concentrates game coming to drink at the springs and water tanks. To find the big bulls you must go where the big bulls live long enough to get that way. You need to access miles upon miles of wilderness and get in the middle of it, then work your way out. You will soon find bulls that average larger scoring racks and an average increase. If they can’t see their 7th birthday I can’t see you wasting your time shooting them. We focus primarily on elk but of course run into an occasional deer and the chances are good he will be a big one. The reason is he to will also be older than the average deer that you will see that is closer access to hunters. We do take moose hunters also which the GMU 171 is a prime since it is where these elk began. I was hunting it back before they even put the moose in here. There is an additional 160 acres to hunt that has an “As is”, A Frame cabin on it that is free to stay in although you might want to look it over before you stay their some repairs are needed. TROPHY BUCKS-In saying that I will say there are Boone & Crockett bucks that live on my leases as you can tell by the bucks killed last year and the year before will see anywhere from 30-40 bucks a day in the last three years have had 100% success rate from bucks scoring from 165-218 only taking seven hunters per year so deer have a chance to reach trophy potential. The dates of the hunt don’t change things much since the herd is a resident herd and don’t leave the property year around for the most part. This is not a high fence hunt but a fair chase hunt so there no guarantees that you will fill or the size of the buck you will fill with.
