Trophy class elk and deer in most western states throughout the Rocky and Cascade Mountains. This eventually led him to Southwest New Mexico and Arizona, home to some of the largest North American big game animals in the world. With the bulls here being well above average in size this guide has been hunting these areas for over 14 years focusing on world class public land hunting. We are permitted in the Gila and Cibola National forests in New Mexico and statewide in Arizona. If you are looking for a trophy of a lifetime then apply to these states.

The units that we hunt in New Mexico and Arizona consistently produce bulls in the 300"- 350" class with opportunity on bigger bulls in all units for hunters that will work for it. Each year during the archery season we will see and chase bulls in the 370"- 390" class and occasionally the 400"+ bull. Rifle tags are the hardest tags to draw, but they also produce some exceptional opportunities on monster animals. New Mexico hunters have the option of purchasing a guaranteed land owner tag sold on a first come first serve basis. The tags are quite expensive but you are guaranteed to hunt without waiting to draw a tag.

After guiding big game hunts here in Colorado for 30 years my experience in big game guiding is second to none. If you are interested in a Colorado Hunting Adventure, let me help you find a quality hunt at an affordable price. I offer both fully guided and unguided hunts. We offer hunts on National forest & BLM lands. We also have a few openings each year for Private Ranch Elk & Deer Hunts. Hunting Elk, Mule Deer, Antelope, Sheep, Goat, Black Bear, and Lion shows how flexible and the large amount of acreage I am licensed in to guide.

I also operate a Guide and Outfitting School in July. This is a hands on detailed instructional course. It includes classroom instruction with lots of in the field work. My school is designed to help you become a big game guide. If you do not desire to become a hunting professional this course still offers very valuable instruction. It will develop your knowledge of big game hunting and allow you to do self guided western hunts with confidence.

This hunt takes place in the heart of the Uncompahgre National Forest, units 61 and 62, two of Colorado's premier trophy areas.

Our base camp consists of very comfy cabin accommodations with propane heat, lights, and hot showers. We utilize 3 cabins for sleeping and 1 for central dining. Our camp cook is excellent and everyone looks forward to his down-home meals.(Hunts in GMU057, 058, 581 and 086)

The hunts are conducted from 4-wheel drive trucks and on foot. We have a full-time packer/wrangler and horses to transport your kill to camp. We can make arrangements for care of your trophy and meat upon your request.

*****LOOKING FOR A BIG BULL THIS IS WHERE THEY COME FROM AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE.

(Hunts in GMU020, 019,106)

Do it with the best and earn a good bull in a dedicated wilderness area. This is a fully guided back in hunt where elk and roads are not together. These elk come well to the bugle, but because it is the 1st rifle season you can use a high power rifle instead of a bow or muzzleloader.

The area gives up some great bulls each year in the 300 B&C class range. There are only two spots left for this hunt, usually they are full by rebooks from the previous year, but the outfitter had two cancellations.

Self Guided or Drop Camp Elk Hunts These hunts are only offered in Game Management Units 51 and 52 and are offered for all weapon types, rifle, muzzleloader and bow. Unit 51 is located directly below Unit 52 in North Central New Mexico and is approximately 380,000 acres (594 square miles). This unit offers the hunter easy access, an excellent elk population, and limited hunting pressure. The unit offers almost a 100% opportunity to draw a license with the use of the outfitter number. We did not offer self guided hunts in this unit last year but our guided hunters had an 84% hunter success and a 100% hunter opportunity. The area has numerous open roads within the unit, often two to three miles apart, which allows the hunter access to areas to hunt by foot. This unit has an excellent elk population and the number of hunters is controlled, as opposed to most of Colorado’s public land units. The odds of drawing a license are excellent with the outfitter number. Bow hunts can be combined with a mule deer hunt and/or a bear hunt also, at no additional hunting fee. The Yukon Territory is renowned for its wild and uncompromising land which is home to some of the most abundant big game in North America. It is located in south-central Yukon, northeast of Whitehorse covering approximately 36,000 square kilometers or 21,600 square miles of hunting paradise. Large areas of the outfit are remote; accessible only by plane or horseback, and a northern part of the area has never been commercially hunted. The terrain, which ranges from mountains, high plateaus, grassy slopes and forested valleys provides natural habitat for all species of big game. Numerous lakes and streams offer great fishing for the sportsman.

The primary game in the area is Stone and Fannin Sheep, Grizzly Bear, Caribou, Alaska/Yukon Moose, Wolves and Wolverine.

This outfitter has become extremely successful in hunting Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Sheep, Goat, Cougar, Bobcat, Grizzly Bear and Black Bear in the guiding business for 30 years, starting out at the age of 17, guiding for the local outfitters in the region. His area, Bull River Territory consists of 340 square kilometers. With the addition of a second hunting territory in the West Kootenays offering additional 4400 square kilometers our huntable area becomes great for building trophy animals of all species because the average age of our animal is older. This area is located in the Purcell Mountain Range 60 miles west of our Bull River area. It is situated about 4.5 hours north of Spokane Washington taking you through northern Idaho.
